Accuracy is a measure of how near the measurements are to the accepted/known values. There is high accuracy when the measured value is close to what it is theoretically expected to be.

precision
|
A set of data is precise or has high precision it if yields consistent results (the same or similar numbers over multiple trials). The greater the scatter in the measurements, the lower the precision.
